Arbroath Abbey: Site of the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath in 1320 which asserted Scotlands Independence from England. Wander round the Abbey and Visitors Centre. |

Arbroath Harbour: Formerly the centre of the Arbroath Economy when the town was more heavily involved in fishing. Now hosts a marina. Still the home of the Arbroath Smokie. |

The Angus Glens: Glen Clova, Glen Prosen, Glen Isla, Glen Lethnot and Glen Esk each offer spectacular scenery and breathtaking tranquility. |

Nearby are the world famous Championship Golf Courses of Carnoustie and St Andrews. Other golf courses are at the local Letham Grange complex with even more public and private courses in Arbroath, Forfar, Montrose, Kirriemuir and Dundee |

Montrose Basin occupies the sheltered firth of the River South Esk in Angus. The tidal basin was designated as a Local Nature Reserve in 1981 and is now recognised as an important stop-over for migratory birds from all directions. Bird watchers paradise. |
